real estate rule #145

What I mean by this is that if the seller is planning on throwing the item away after they close, it is very unlikely that it is helping them sell their home.  Some people ask me if they should “stage” a home with old furniture.  I always say NO!  If it is garbage, why would they want to stage their home with garbage?  There is no need to tell someone that all their favorite furniture is garbage, just ask clients what they plan on doing with the item after closing.

How this helps your clients: By removing old outdated items from that house that are going to be garbage anyway, the house will be less cluttered, there will be less to pack/move, and the house will feel newer.

How this helps the Agent (you): The better a house looks, the faster the house will sell and often for more money.
